Malden Reads Night at Boda Borg
90 Pleasant Street, Malden
Wednesday, March 13, 2019 (4:00–9:00 p.m.)

Malden Reads is hosting an evening at Boda Borg, Malden’s very own questing center, as part of our ongoing mission of connecting community in Malden. Tickets must be obtained in advance. Here are the details you need to know.

What is Boda Borg?

Boda Borg is a “real-world gaming environment” with teams tackling mental and physical challenges called quests. Boda Borg’s website has more information here, and also check out this video to see what it’s all about.

What’s special about Malden Reads Night at Boda Borg?

This is an opportunity for Malden Reads enthusiasts, ages 7 – adult, who have enjoyed our books and connected with our program, to participate for FREE at Boda Borg. We will be giving away blocks of tickets to groups that have made a special connection with our program this year and will set aside 50 tickets for other Malden Reads enthusiasts.

Malden Reads Night tickets will let you quest for free at Boda Borg for two hours. We’ll host family-friendly activities as well as provide some refreshments in the main gathering area from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., so folks can stay in that area when they are not participating in questing.

Questing must take place in a team of 3–5 (age mix is encouraged). We will help to arrange teams when you arrive. We hope that each team has at least one person that the others do not know.

Please note that kids under 12 require a chaperone. Kids that are age 7-8 require a chaperone who quests with them. Kids who are age 9-11 can quest alone but require a chaperone in the building. Malden Reads will not be providing chaperones.
